Hello and welcome!  Most people call me Dave, but must admit that my dad is the much more famous Dave Eddy.  I was born and raised around Battle Creek, Michigan.

I spent my entire adult life serving in the Profession of Arms, starting a long career in public safety as an active-duty United States Air Force security policeman.  I left active duty for a civilian policing career that spanned over 30 years in the states of Texas and Michigan.  During that time I worked the road, the lock-up, under cover, and as a training instructor.  I also worked intelligence, violent crimes, major crimes, dignitary protection, and as ended my career commanding an intelligence section.  I retired from dual public safety and military careers of over 32 years each.

I consider myself a perpetual student of life, leadership, and fitness.  My formal college education includes an Associate in Applied Science degree from Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University, and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership from Central Michigan University.

Growing up the son of a radio and television personality, I have an appreciation for all genre’s of music and the performing arts.  Contrary to what most people might believe if only to know my vocation, I really enjoy community theater and have been in a number of productions, as well as a couple of independent films.  I’m also the drummer for the band Dry Spell, and half of the Rhythm Section’s Guide to Mixology – an amateur social media endeavor to entertain people while helping them up their mixology game.  I love God, (most) people, and my family.  I really like black coffee, red wine, chocolate milk, dark beer, traveling, reading, and working out.  My wife and I have been married (miraculously) over 31 years.  We have three grown children and three grandchildren.

The character-limit version of me is this: leader, follower; angel, sinner; gentleman, wretch; needy, giving; broken, redeemed.

I’m grateful you’ve chosen to join me and find strength in weakness!
